ICSAS ANNUAL INSTALLATION 2010 PORTRAIT OF PROMISES - painted with determination.
ICSAS had a very eventful and enjoyable year, all of which we owe due respect to the 09/10 Board of Directors. It is that time of the year again where probationers will be installed as official Interactors and the Board of Directors 09/10 will pass the flaming torch down to the incoming BODs. Our theme for our Installation this year is Portrait of promises - painted with determination.
What is a promise?
"Promises are the uniquely human way of ordering the future, making it predictable and reliable to the extent that this is humanly possible." - Hannah Arendt
A promise is an assurance, an affirmation, a pact, a commitment between one party to another whereby one undertakes in the future to do something specified. We, as the incoming Board of Directors 10/11, are representing our promises to the Interact Club of SAS, PJ to further improve our club and continue the on-going success of the outgoing board.
It is obvious to anyone that a promise is not enough, it is not fair to make a promise and then break it. This is why our promises are made with determination, commitment, optimism, sacrifice, and last but not least, honesty. This is what our promises are all about, and is exactly what the incoming BOD of ICSAS 2010/2011 promises to do.
On the evening of 7th August 2010, will be the evening where the incoming BOD of ICSAS portraits their promises to uphold the integrity of our school's interact club and to carry on the duties passed on to us by the previous BOD.
You wouldn't want to miss an evening filled with cool, FUNKY performances! Refreshments will also be served!
So come join us as we cherish and appreciate the hard work and dedication that have been contributed by the outgoing board of directors and also to usher in the new leaders of ICSAS PJ.
